This track is a huge fail. Totally killed kid cudi in this one it deserves a better beat to at least match the acapella. Mashups are straight if you can actually pull em off and not just layer acapellas over shitty songs. And yes nearly all the mashups off hathbang are fails. Don't post your mashups unless its somewhat of a decent track im tired of hearing people using all the same acapellas as everyone else it all sounds the same.

Sure I can do that for you. I am not hating, just being honest from a musical perspective.

I don't want to knock anyone that is passionate about music so please don't take anything too personally. It is all a learning process.

You have made it clear that you are a DJ, and not yet a producer. Very fine and well! DJing is a great way to experience, share, and enjoy music. However, your "mash ups" like you said, were in DJ form. You did them in Serato, which means that for the most part, you had the acapella playing at the same time as the beat. Although I don't enjoy mash ups very much- if you would like to "put your own twist" on music via mash ups, then you need to just that and put your own twist on it.

Cut up the vocals, put them in unique positions in the track so the arrangement is unique. Maybe loop certain parts of the track with a part of the chorus that you like that wasn't done in the original. By layering an acapella and a beat in their original form, then you are yes DJing. Please don't think that you can't do this, but save that sort of stuff for the live DJing. Just because something was fun live, does not mean that it is something that can be listened to while on a walk with your headphones or driving in the car.

Like everyone has said, Key signatures are very important for music, especially for match ups. Make sure the keys work together, or if they do not, adjust the volume and EQ as much as possible or give it FX to make something cool out of it.

Just because those first tracks you posted didn't work out well, don't get put down. Everyone butchers stuff here and there, especially in the beginning. You are on the entry path to a long road of musical endeavors. Take all criticism in stride, even that of the haters. In the long run haters are good!!

For example, although the music in the post was not up to quality of this website... Have you ever seen 26 comments on a post? Keep working.

wow... haters huh... first off i made these on a simple two channel mixer connected to scratch live and no turntables. i did all the cue point drops by hand, live, and adjust the pitch on the computer... so it wasn't easy to make perfect... i don't make these to glorify myself by any means either or use them to make any money... all this is, is me sitting in room fucking around with some music that i really like... i don't see what the big deal is. If you like em, great! if not, then don't get all high and mighty. I DJ because i have an extreme love for music, simple and plain. So thanks to all the good compliments. Also I am not a professional by any means yet. I do DJ and get paid, but i do it because its fun to me and i am getting better everyday. but like anyone I am still learning. These tracks are me just doing more than just mixing tracks and getting more creative and having fun. again thanks to a-dubs and the others for the good feedback.

P.S. A lot of people have told me that the Cudi one sounds off key. i agree it is off key. but at the time it sounded sick to me so i recorded it.... and also hath is missing my wu-tang one on here which you can stream and download on my soundcloud here: http://soundcloud.com/djprobono
